Sunshine Through Golf Foundation, (formerly the CDGA Foundation) Sunshine Club Annual Giving Program was created in 1993 to benefit the Foundation's participants and programs. The program is the backbone of the Sunshine Through Golf Foundation programs and services. The program asks for an annual $30 donation per member. The donation is optional and fully tax-deductible.How are Contributions Collected? Contributions collected for the Sunshine Through Golf Foundation is a one-time per year solicitation of a clubs membership. The solicitation package a member receives is the decision of each individual member club. The Sunshine Through Golf Foundation is willing to provide any foundation literature to help educate members and can be included in each member's bill. Where is my Contribution Going?
- Golf programming for beginners, juniors, individuals with disabilities, minorities, and the economically disadvantaged of the Chicago District
- Annual Grants Program for allied golf associations using golf in a recreational, therapeutic, rehabilitative, or educational manner
- 3-Hole Sunshine Course- allowing free golf course access, transportation, equipment, and operations of the home course
How does my club approve this program? Member Club Annual Giving Program Presentation
- 15-minute presentation(includes showing of 8-minute video)
- Hand out materials on the Sunshine Through Golf Foundation, list of participating clubs & brochures
- We will ask for board approval of the program.
- We will work with the club in correspondence informing members on where that $30 is going. (Letters, brochures, videos, club newsletter articles)
